Risk Advisory Services for Banking
With a strong passion for management, Silvio brings over 25 years of experience to the leadership team, with a deep background in risk, financial, and capital management gained through senior roles in audit, consulting, and banking.
As of January 2026, Silvio serves as Managing Partner, leading the Executive Committee and driving operational excellence, strategic execution, and the firm’s day-to-day management, ensuring alignment between strategy, operations, and people.
A finance and risk professional, he translates conceptual thinking into pragmatic, value-driven solutions across a wide range of topics, including Economic and Regulatory Capital, Stress Testing, Basel II, II.5 and III (CRD IV), Value at Risk, Earnings at Risk, Credit Risk and IFRS 9, ICAAP, long-term financial planning, financial modeling, and valuation.
Alongside senior advisory work and complex project management, Silvio is responsible for business and commercial development, marketing, and human capital development.

Marc-Louis Schmitz, Partner at Finalyse and Chairman of the Board of Directors, is the founder of the independent valuation services business line.
He oversees operations, team management, and strategic development.
Known for fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented work environment, he supports a skilled team dedicated to mastering complex valuation processes, models, and best practices.
With a strong background in valuation, risk modeling, and regulatory compliance, Marc-Louis has expanded Finalyse's managed services to meet evolving regulatory and client needs.
Risk Advisory Services for Banking
Thomas has been working with Finalyse for more than 20 years. His passion for people management make him an excellent leader of the Risk Advisory Banking practice of Finalyse group in close collaboration with Silvio Santarossa.
Thanks to his involvement into recruitment, Finalyse has gathered together diverse and complementary profiles of consultants, eager to embrace professional challenges in the Risk Management field.
Apart from being in charge of quality control of Risk Advisory Banking projects, Thomas also monitors multiple internal processes (career development paths of consultants and annual review among others). In close collaboration with Finalyse experts, he is also in charge of the business and commercial development & recruitment for the Risk Advisory Banking practice, with a focus on ALM, Market Risk, Climate Risk, Reporting Factory & SAS related projects.

Joining the board of directors in April 2024, Can is committed to advancing Finalyse’s expertise in the Banking sector. With his diverse academic and professional background, along with over a decade of active involvement in various quantitative and strategic risk management projects, Can delivers effective solutions to our clients with a hands-on approach.
At Finalyse, Can spearheads initiatives in business and commercial development, focusing mainly on areas such as credit risk, stress testing, ICAAP/ILAAP, and economic capital modelling. Additionally, he prioritizes fostering talent within the organization and plays an integral role in the recruitment process. Can’s passion for teaching and learning shines through, particularly when tackling complex problems.
